About Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre
Enter the world of the beloved children’s author at the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre in Great Missenden, the village where he lived and wrote. Explore three interactive galleries: Boy (learn about his school days), Solo (discover his adventures and writing journey), and the Story Centre (get creative with words and crafts). See Roald Dahl’s original Writing Hut, filled with his curious objects. The museum is aimed primarily at children aged 6 to 12 and their families, encouraging literacy and creativity through hands-on activities inspired by his famous stories. The Museum recommend booking tickets in advance to avoid disappointment.
Opening hours
Open Thursday to Sunday, 10am to 4.30pm. Last admission each day is at 3.30pm. The Museum is also open during Buckinghamshire school holidays – please check the website for full holiday opening hours. The Museum recommends booking a timed entry slot to avoid disappointment.
Entry prices
Adults £11.95, children aged 5-18 £9.95, under 5s go free.
Tickets are valid for a year after your visit.
