Welcome to Blue Owl Pottery Painting Studio, your creative oasis nestled in the heart of your community, open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM.
At Blue Owl, we offer a unique and personalized approach to pottery painting, where you can book a session to paint at your leisure in our welcoming studio environment.
We streamline your experience by having you select and order your pottery pieces online prior to your visit. This ensures that everything you need is prepared and waiting at your table upon arrival, allowing you to dive straight into the art of pottery painting.
Booking a Pottery Painting Session
Pottery painting sessions are available to book Wednesdays – Saturdays 10 am- 4 pm.
Please book a table here and then order your pottery online before your session so it’s ready on your table when you arrive.
There’s no fee to book a daytime painting session, you just pay the price of your chosen pottery item.
Please note, that your items will be ready for collection 1-2 weeks after your booking, as they need to be glazed and fired in our kilns.

We are open every Wednesday to Saturday 10 am – 4 pm.
Children Birthday Party Hiring
Childrens Parties
We can hold small parties of up to 8 children (plus 2 supervising adults) during our normal opening hours. The price depends on your pottery choice and any snacks you decide to purchase.
We also have limited availability (usually Tuesdays 4.30pm – 6pm) for private children’s parties for 12-16 children. These are £15 per head, with a £30 venue fee – and you can bring your own party food, cake and decorations.
Evening Sessions
Come and have a relaxing evening painting pottery with friends – you can even bring your own drinks & nibbles!
We run these popular evening sessions every few weeks on a Friday night from 7 -10pm. There is a small booking fee for evening sessions, but no minimum spend on pottery.

Clay & Painting workshops
Fancy trying some new pottery painting techniques or being creative with clay? We run regular workshops suitable for complete beginners. Follow the link below for all our current workshops on offer.
We also run regular ‘Clay Club’ sessions on Wednesday mornings 10 am – 12 noon for working on your own clay projects – previous experience with clay is required.
Coffee & Cakes
We serve freshly ground coffee, a selection of teas, hot chocolate and cold drinks.
Our snacks include:
- Gluten free rocky road, millionaires shortbread, brownies and flapjack
- Shortbread biscuits & fruit cake
- Fairfields Crisps
You can purchase drinks & snacks during your session (card payment only please).
You’re also very welcome to just pop in for coffee mid-week during term time. Saturdays and school holidays are reserved for pottery bookings only.
