About Diggerland Durham
Get hands-on with real construction machinery at Diggerland Durham!
This unique theme park lets kids (and adults!) operate actual diggers, dumpers, and other heavy plant machinery under supervision.
Drive JCBs, dig for buried treasure, take a spin on the ‘Spindizzy’, or enjoy the views from the ‘Skyshuttle’.
There are also smaller rides, go-karts, and indoor soft play areas. It’s a dream come true for machinery-mad youngsters and offers a truly different kind of theme park experience.
Height restrictions apply to many rides, so check suitability beforehand. A day of noisy, muddy, mechanical fun!

Open selected weekends and daily during school holidays, typically 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM, sometimes 4:00 PM off-peak (check website calendar for exact dates).

Party Area Hire
Diggerland offers a dedicated group celebration area ideal for birthday parties. The room is available for exclusive hire at a rate of £40 for a three-hour period. It comes equipped with chairs, tables, and access to a fridge for storing your own food and beverages.
Please note that the hire fee does not include food, drinks, or additional items such as balloons and decorations; however, you are welcome to bring your own. Standard admission tickets must be purchased separately for all guests attending the celebration. Check website for full details.
