High Force Waterfall

Witness the spectacular power of nature at High Force, one of England’s most impressive waterfalls, located in the beautiful Upper Teesdale landscape. A well-maintained woodland path leads families on a pleasant walk down to dramatic viewpoints overlooking the River Tees as it plunges 21 metres over the Whin Sill rock formation. The roar of the water and the stunning scenery make it a memorable experience. There are picnic spots along the way, and the walk is manageable for most families (can be muddy). A visitor centre, shop, and hotel/cafe are located near the car park.
