About Stotfold Watermill & Nature Reserve
Stotfold Watermill nature reserve is a restored working watermill with peaceful nature trails and open spaces to explore. On milling days (check ahead), you can see the mill in action and learn how grain becomes flour. Many children enjoy watching the process.
You can also buy fresh flour in the shop. Outside, the Nature Reserve offers ponds, meadows, and riverside paths—good spots for seeing birds and other wildlife.
The gardens are well-kept, and Randall’s Tea Room serves drinks and light food. Entry to the reserve and tea room is free. There’s a small fee to visit the mill on regular days.
Opening hours
The Nature Reserve is open all year, except on 10–11 May and 4–5 October.
The Mill, Shop, and Tea Room are only open to the public on selected days shown below. On these dates, flour and oats are milled if water levels allow. The Tea Room stops serving at 4.30pm.

Daily Times on Open Days
- Mill, Shop, and Tea Room: 12:30pm – 5:00pm
- Milling Sessions: 1:00pm – 4:00pm
- Car Park: 10:00am – 4:00pm (may close earlier if it’s dark, dull, or rainy)
Entry prices
Free entry to Nature Reserve and Tea Room. Small charge for Mill entry (around £5 adult, £2 child) on non-event days. Event days may have different pricing.
Birthday party hire
Venue hire is available, potentially suitable for parties. Contact the Mill directly to discuss options.
